“Last spring, a pair of bald eagles who have a nest on the other side of Lost Lagoon would come over regularly and help themselves to the eggs. You’d see them sitting there with yolk dripping off their faces,” says Maria Morlin, whose 11th floor apartment overlooks the eastern section of the colony.
